Philippines want the United States to expand the presence of troops in the country amid growing border dispute. Philippine Defense Minister, Albert Del Rosario, said officials of both countries are discussing joint exercises and the addition of more U.S. soldiers assigned to the Philippines. “It is clear advantages for us to explore how to maximize the alliance treaty with the United States through an acceptable way with and for mutual benefits,” such as Albert Del Rosario explained in a statement. Companies that have a ship Costa Concordia offers compensation 11 000 euros for each passenger. The deal was reached after negotiations between Costa Cruises, with some consumer protection agency in Italy. “The deal involves about 3,000 passengers from 60 countries, including 900 Italians,” as stated by the ADOC, a consumer organization that participated in the negotiations. In addition to paying compensation, the company also promised to cover all travel expenses and treatment of the passengers, including the cost of a ticket to sail a cruise ship Costa Concordia. Bus-sized asteroid will pass Earth at this Friday ( 1/27 ), less than two days after the existence of the asteroid was discovered through telescope observations. Astronomers at the Minor Planet Center, the United States, said the asteroid will pass Earth BX34 2012 around 16:00 GMT. According to astronomers celestial body is a length of up to 20 meters and will pass the Earth at an altitude of about 60,000 km. Gareth Williams, director of the Minor Planet Center said the asteroid will not hit Earth, and if that happens the thing will be broken when it enters the atmosphere. (more…)
